Apple has updated its family of Macintosh desktops, giving the new PCs faster processing power, more memory and enhanced graphics capabilities. The Cupertino, Calif.-based company also said it would trim some price points, such as those on the 24-inch iMac, which will retail for just less than $1,500, a 17% savings. The line’s flagship unit, the STR-DN1000, offers 7.1-channel audio playback and 110 watts per channel.
